AR-HES-B – Energy storage, production and recovery of valuable substances in wastewater treatment plants
AR-HES-B develops technologically based concepts of municipal wastewater treatment plants in order to convert them from energy consumers into a hybrid energy provider, energy storage and a provider of resources. The concept enables wastewater plants to turn into an important platform in the regional energy and mass transfer.
AREA-MUMOSIS
The goal of this project was to develop a demonstration system of a multimodal system for the efficient monitoring of “large areas” like the areas of airports but also refineries, power plants, etc
AREA-MUMOSIS next
The present project was thus aimed at developing a demonstration system for multimodal monitoring to ensure the efficient and effective surveillance of airside areas
AREAS - Aerial search & Rescue support and supErvision of inAccessible terrainS
Through the combined use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), sensors in the visible, infrared and multispectral ranges as well as laser scanners, an effective and efficient acquisition of information in inacessible terrains is achieved in real time. This reduces the risk for responder organisations and the resources required to gather information in the event of crises, disasters and damage situations.
ARGUS-Flex
Multimodal airborne sensor platform and innovative analyses and geo-management solutions to support disaster management
ARIS - Application of non-linear control engineering and implementation of intelligent sensor systems for the improvements of energy efficiency in the building sector
The major goal of the project was the development of innovative control concepts for controlling and optimizing heating, cooling and ventilation systems (HVAC) as well as building loads. The implementation of advanced, energy efficient non-linear control techniques in building management systems is supported by new sensor technologies that are applied to building and energy systems in order to improve their energy-efficient operation.
ASGS - Advanced Signal Generation Study
The aim of this study is to investigate all new requirements of the Galileo Signal-In-Space, to discuss appropriateimplementation possibilities into the Advanced Signal Generator, to design programmable electronic components (Field Programmable Gate Arrays, FPGAs), and carry out the respective tests.
ASLE - Advanced Satellite Link Emulator
ASOC - Establishment of an Academic Security Operations Center
The project deals with the conceptual design of a federated Academic Security Operation Center (ASOC). The ASOC is intended to ensure a rapid and, if possible, automated exchange of security information, IOCs, rules, SOAR workflows, use cases, playbooks, and knowledge in an academic context. Thus, the project includes the development of a maturity level determination of the individual participants, a secure data protection-compliant exchange of information, methods for AI-supported threat hunting as well as further education and training on an open-source basis and the corresponding preservation of digital sovereignty and the clarification of the legal and social issues of an ASOC.
ASOT - Application-specific Surface Structuring of Thermal Insulation
The ASOT project focuses on the development of a range of thermal vacuum insulation materials for spacecraft and other high technology applications. By appropriate surface patterning the material properties can be tailored to fit the requirements of the intended use.
ASPOC-MMS
ASPOC aboard NASA's MMS Mission: Inflight ion Emitter Operation in Response to the Plasma Environment
ASSIST 4.0 - Service Avatar: A new service era begins
Mobile end devices support plant and machine servicing and staff training in Industry 4.0. Thanks to digital technologies, even across continents.
ASaG - Preparation for a GMES Downstream Service for Snow and Glacier Monitoring in Alpine Regions
The ASaG project is aimed at the implementation of a satellite-based service for spatially detailed monitoring of snow cover and glaciers over extended areas.
ASaP - Airport Security and Productivity
The project aimed to maintain and increase the high level of security of Vienna International Airport (VIE), while also enhancing its efficiency
AT-X - Advanced Tools for TerraSAR-X Applications in GMES
The project AT-X was concerned with the development of methods for the operational and scientific utilization of data from TerraSAR-X and other very high resolution spaceborne X- band SAR sensors. It addresses the applications snow and glacier monitoring for water management and climate monitoring and the retrieval of forest parameters.
