Build4Climate - Demonstration building with a climate room concept at the Innovation Quarter Lavanttal in Carinthia
Near the Wörthersee in Carinthia a modern open-space research and office building with flexible use is being built on the site of Lakeside Science & Technology Park GmbH. The innovative building will be implemented as a frontrunner with a 'climate room' concept based on thermal component activation and extensive use of renewable energy sources.
BuildReUse ‐ 100 percent re‐use and recycling in buildings with short usage cycles
Some buildings, such as supermarkets or office buildings, are often demolished and rebuilt after a few years or at least have their interiors changed, turning large quantities of building components into waste. The BuildReUse project aims to develop circular economy concepts for these buildings and to promote the necessary change in the construction industry.
Building and modernising with "Building of Tomorrow"
The project BauModern turned to non-profit and commercial housing developers and real estate managements. In close co-operation with the federations of the housing and real estate economy has been achieved that builders are informed about market-suited innovative technologies and concepts and use these strengthened for their projects both in the new building and in the refurbishment.
Building as living lab - Buildings as a living lab for climate-neutral, needs-based and affordable housing
Within ÖWG, climate protection and sustainability are strategically anchored in renovation and densification projects. A comprehensive, climate-neutral renovation concept had been developed for a specific pilot property in Graz in an open, co-creative innovation process. The building becomes a living lab in which new solutions are tested in the everyday lives of the residents.
Building of Tomorrow for the construction industry
Dissemination of results of the research initiative "Building of tomorrow" for two specific target groups - master builder and installer - implementation in further vocational training concepts
Building the Future Together: the NEB:werk Model Quarter Payerbach in the Semmering World Heritage Region
The NEB:werk Payerbach project transforms the central village square of Payerbach in the UNESCO Semmering World Heritage Region into a climate-resilient, community-driven model quarter aligned with the principles of the New European Bauhaus. By combining adaptive reuse, regional craftsmanship, sustainable energy concepts and participatory planning, the project creates a future-oriented place for living, working, culture and social interaction. NEB:werk treats built heritage as a resource and develops transferable models for sustainable rural transformation.
Buildings of highest energy-efficiency with integrated renewable energy development
For the future supply of energy services the combination of energy efficiency, energy storage and decentralized use of renewable energy in buildings offers itself. The project identified dynamic potentials of possible active and passive energy yields of construction units with use of renewable energy sources, pointed future solutions to energy-efficient and ecological design of building construction-units and united all results to a signpost: From today's passive house to the energy-plus-house of the future.
Business model innovations for rental and service models in the manufacturing sector
The project aims to contribute to a better understanding of the economic and ecological potentials of an implementation of lending and service models in the manufacturing sector in Austria and to show which changes and R&D efforts are necessary so that these can be realized by suitable business models.
C-CUBE
Feasibility study of a CubeSat mission for advanced telemetry, communications and signal monitoring
C-Hub - Circular Knowledge Hub
The Circular Knowledge Hub is as a central knowledge hub, combining existing expertise, translating complex regulatory developments into applicable options for action, and connecting stakeholders along the entire value chain. Through structured dialogue formats, quality-assured knowledge modules, and cross-sector cooperation, it strengthens the implementation of circular principles in practice and policy. The goal is a systemic shift toward a resource-efficient, climate-neutral, and resilient construction industry.
C-TOP - Carinthian Traffic Optimizer
C2DSAS - Command and Control Decision Support and Advisory
The Austrian research project C2DSAS (Command and Control Decision Support and Advisory Systems) focused on the development of software-based methods for the operational command and control decision support
CAFS - Commercial ASIC Foundries for Space Applications
The main goal is to optimise the cost function of such a commercial ASIC component qualification for space use by understanding all technological constraints. The results enable us to guide and support a subcontractor, which is inexperienced in space technologies, due to its background in the terrestrial market.
CAIS - Cyber Attack Information System
Main objectives of this project are identifying expected future cyber risks and emerging threats, evaluating novel anomaly detection techniques, creating highly modular infrastructure models used in agent-based attack simulations for risk and threat analysis, and finally investigate the deployment and instantiation of a national “Cyber Attack Information System”
CAKAO
Combined analysis of kinematic orbits and loading observations to determine mass redistribution
CANNDAT
So far the differentiation between illegally grown drug strains and fibre hemp cultivars ofCannabis (hemp) is based on a time-consuming chemical analysis which cannot beapplied to all plant materials.
CASIMO - Carrier Signal Monitoring
CASIMO2 - Carrier Signal Monitoring
CASIMO2 is a seamless enhancement of the carrier monitoring system based on and driven by customer requirements concerning the implementation of DSP based polarization discrimination measurements combined with enhanced demodulation functionality and satellite performance measurements.
CATCH-IN Technologies and concepts for locating and tracking interference sources
Investigation and implementation of sensor and monitoring approaches for identification and localization of GNSS interference sources incl. field tests to investigate the quality of the approaches
