DJET - D-JET Concept
The goal of the D-Jet project is to construct a small jet for an emerging market segment with a significantly lower price-performance ratio than earlier business jets, better performance with regard to the cruising speed and the rate of climb, short runway requirements for takeoff and landing, as well as a total registered weight under 2,000 kilograms.
DMA: Data Market Austria
The aim of the “Data Market Austria” project was to research the conditions required for a functioning data market and to develop a (prototype) platform to create a functioning Austrian data market. Organisations can share, exchange and trade their internal data in this data market.
DOSIS - Radiation Dose Mapping Onboard Columbus
Realized in the frame of the ELIPS programme of the European Space Agency, the DOSIS experiment is a multi-lateral research effort to determine absorbed dose, particle flux density and energy spectra at eleven differently shielded locations inside the European Columbus module of the International Space Station.
DREI x NULL = NULL - Research project on climate-neutral construction in all life cycle phases based on three demonstration buildings
The aim of the F&E project is the realization of three different residential buildings, which are all climate-neutral in the life cycle phases of construction, operation and dismantling. The aim is to create exemplary showcase projects for the future residential construction sector.
DRoB - Drones and robotics for efficient monitoring and management of green facades or roofs
Strategic transdisciplinary networking of experts for the analysis of innovative monitoring and management systems for green facades and roofs. The aim is to demonstrate the potential of different UAV sensors for vegetation monitoring and robots for maintenance measurements of green façades.
DS-SNOW
Downscaling Sentinel-3 Snow Cover Data for Meteorological and Hydrological Applications
DUO-TES - Double utilization of aboveground and underground sprinkler water tanks as thermal energy storages
Exploratory project on the dual use of sprinkler and fire-fighting water tanks as thermal energy storages and their integration into building-internal heating and cooling processes as well as into district heating and cooling networks. The dual use of this infrastructure promises significant decarbonization and cost-reduction potential through energy savings and an increased share of renewable energy, while simultaneously enhancing system resilience.
DURCHBLICK
Detection of varying improvised explosive devices by using smart analytic sensors
DW² - Thermal improvements on diaphragm walls
New materials and installation methods for diaphragm walls will be investigated in laboratory and field tests in order to improve the thermal properties of the construction elements. Additional numerical and ecological aspects are considered to ensure an energetic enhancement of underground constructions such as underground garages or thermal energy storages.
DaMon
Cyber-attacks are serious threats for organizations and entire nations. The project results enable political decision makers to implement specific and Austrian data protection legislation compliant measures to protect the Austrian ICT infrastructure and the connected economic, governmental, and societal development
Data-based processes for the creation and formulation of production data for complex industrial plants.
Development and evaluation of a process to automatically create models from existing production data of industrial plants. These models can be used to optimize the production process and plant equipment (scrap, quality, use of raw materials and energy) or to detect and predict faults.
DataScience4SmartQuarters - Energy saving potentials through neighbourhood and community planning – Part 2
DataScience4SmartQuarters develops and researches an innovative method for the fast and efficient evaluation of simulation scenarios (building/energy, mobility) for communities.
DayGuide - Intelligent Guidance in Everyday Life
The project develops a social platform which facilitates everyday life for people with cognitive impairments. The platform is tested in a clinical study.
De-lacquering as a service
Development of the service of de-lacquering in industrial plants on the basis of pulsed high pressure water with a new, energy efficient high pressure pump. Further possible applications will be searched for and evaluated.
DeB-AT – Detection and separation of portable batteries from mixed waste using sensor technology and artificial intelligence
The DeB-AT project plans the development of a laboratory or pilot plant demonstrator for the targeted separation of batteries from mixed waste streams. The concept of the demonstrator follows the methodological elaboration of the necessary requirements of optical sensors and the separation technology for AI-supported detection of the general population of batteries.
DeFiTrace: Data-driven Methods for analyzing illegal money flows in multi-ledger DeFi-Ecosystems
The DeFiTrace project aims to create algorithmic methods to detect illegal transactions in cross-ledger Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystems.
DeGe - Deployable Getaway for the International Space Station (ISS) - Deployable Crew-Quarter-Cabin and Sleep-/Work-Equipment for Temporary Use on ISS and for Future Applications in 0-Gravity Environments
The Deployable Getaway (DeGe) is a deployable crew quarter, which can be unfolded into an astronaut’s crew cabin using a "folding box principle". In folded configuration two of them can be stored in one International Standard Payload Rack on ISS. The size of the unfolded cabin corresponds to those of the crew-quarter cabins actually in use. In contrast to the integrated existing cabins the DeGe can be positioned at any suitable location on ISS.
DeLight Monitoring - Demo light Impact-Monitoring and metrological investigation of energy-efficient buildings
The Project consists of the metrological examination of eleven innovative buildings in terms of energy consumption and user comfort. In addition, building constructors and operators as well as the public are sensitized to the subject of energy-related optimization of building operation. Also, the potentials of energy-related optimization of building operation are shown.
