QTS - Quantum Teleportation in Space
The aim of the QTS (Quantum Teleportation in Space) project was to bridge the gap between the laboratory setting of quantum teleportation and its future implementation in space.
QUANTUM - Quantum Entanglement in Space Experiments
Quantum entanglement (Erwin Schroedinger 1935) is one fundamental feature of quantum physics. It describes the situation, in which separate particles have only joint but no individual properties, independent from the distance from each other. This counterintuitive behaviour has led to a series of fascinating experiments.
Quality criteria for the Building of Tomorrow
Development and implementation of contributions to the quality control of innovative technologies in the areas of building services and insulation that are derived substantially from HAUSderZukunft findings.
Quantitative and qualitative identification of relevant secondary raw material flows in Austria
In the course of the raw material initiative, the European Commission classified a number of elements and basic materials (including rare earth elements, gallium, germanium, platinum group metals and tantalum) as critical raw materials because of their doubtful future access. In order to operate appropriate recycling of these particular critical raw materials, the primary aim of the present project is to identify the waste streams and to investigate their quality and the quantity of critical raw materials. As a basis for presented aim a "Secondary Raw Material Map Austria 2030", which represents the theoretical, the real and in the future reachable potential of this critical secondary raw materials, is developed.
R-Bau - Development of a replicable deconstruction strategy for residential buildings to force the recovery-oriented dismantling
The aim of the project was to develop a replicable deconstruction strategy for residential buildings to force the recovery-oriented dismantling. The key aspects of the project are the development of standardized building models in order to analyse the recovery-oriented dismantling process, the design of a deconstruction catalogue and the transfer of the project findings to refurbishment, design and erecting of residential buildings.
RA-PPP - Innovative Algorithms for Rapid Precise Point Positioning
Is there a chance to achieve dm accuracy in positioning, just by means of an isolated single-frequency GNSS receiver? Which further external data has this isolated receiver to be provided with and within what time frame does the position determination converge to the requested accuracy? These are the crucial questions of Precise Point Positioning (PPP). In the project RA-PPP we show that there are several limiting factors to existing PPP algorithms and services, which rely on highly precise orbit and clock parameters.
RAARA - Residential Area Augmented Reality Acoustics
Populations with high exposure to noise emissions will generally agree: Noise means trouble. The aim of project RAARA is to develop a simple, intuitive albeit accurate method for reducing noise imissions in urban areas. This method involves placing a noise-source into its planned real-world destination prior to actual installation, by means of augmented reality. The ensuing sound-imissions are then made tangible by means of sound effects and coloured visualizations. This exceptional approach will facilitate planning for heating and cooling devices and thus reduce noise pollution in urban areas. This, in turn, can contribute to an increase in societal acceptance and investment in renewable energy.
RACEMAN - Ceramics in 3D-printing: The material of the future
High performance ceramics are temperature-resistant and highly durable. A new production method makes it feasible for small batches.
RADIS Austria - Radiation dose distribution within the Matroshka human phantom torso onboard ISS
RAPIDEM - Rapid Assessment Provision for Intelligent Disaster and Emergency Management
This project aimed at the development of information products and service structures supporting critical decision-making processes in flood disaster management for the Austrian disaster relief organisations. Time-critical data and information generation are a major factor in successful disaster management.
RASEN
RAyleigh Scattering as a tool to study the compactness of transiting small-mass ExoplaNets
RCC – Reduced Carbon Concrete: Implementation of CO2-redudes concrete in construction sites
The objectives of the present project "RCC - Reduced Carbon Concrete" were to test the current knowledge about the temperature-dependent curing processes of performance concretes by concrete work on large components on the construction site, under summer and winter conditions, and in precast production. The results will be incorporated into construction practice and standardization work.
RCC2 - Life cycle assessment of heatable formwork for CO2-reduced and climate-neutral concrete
Experimental development of innovative formulations of CO2-reduced concrete and heated formwork to support early strength development in wintry temperatures.
REBECCA - Real-time Blending EPS-METEOSAT by Canonical Correlation Analysis
The goal of this project is to develop a standardized procedure of merging potential synergistic combination of satellite data of the geostationary orbit and those of the low earth orbit which at first sight appear rather incompatible in terms of content, spatial and temporal availability.
REC-Businesspark - Investigation of the first Austrian renewable energy community business and industrial park
In the course of the project, the conceptual design of a zero-emission or plus-energy business park in Weiz with a focus on photovoltaics and fuel cells in combination with a Renewable Energy Community (E-EGe) had been carried out. By establishing the park on a "greenfield", all structures can be created according to the requirements of the E-EGe.
RENEW SCHOOL Austria: Examples and financing models for school renovations
The project aimed at learning from 14 Austrian school buildings, from their financial and cooperation models, meaning successful cooperation between involved parties. The success factors have been derived from these projects and together with 10 best practice schools been published in a brochure. The project supported the Austrian activities in the IEE EU-Projekt RENEW SCHOOL (www.renew-school.eu).
