FIVA - Window prototypes with integrated vacuum glazing

This project targets the further development of windows with integrated vacuum glazing. Such glass products regularly feature a very low Ug-value, and their dimension is in comparison to insulation glass thin and light. As such, these products offer a new alternative for highly-insulating window constructions, and thus also for energy-efficiency measures in buildings. The project is based on the findings of a previous exploratory project (MOTIVE) and focuses on the construction of functional prototypes of vacuum glass windows together with business partners.

FLEET - Fleet Logistics Service Enhancement with Egnos & Galileo Satellite Technology

In the project FLEET a travel time information service based on vehicle-generated data (Floating Car Data) was developed and demonstrated for the Vienna region for the use in TrafficTelematics Systems.

FLIXDATE - Floating Ski Data by GNSS

The FLIXDATE project intends to develop a demonstration system for alpine ski sport traffic analysis, traffic routing and collision avoidance on ski slopes. Detection of dangerous zones and management of ski traffic based on floating ski data lead to increased safety and traffic performance on ski slopes.

FRESSCO - Searching the Link Between Fretting Tests and Shaker Tests for Cold Welding

The project covers a detailed investigation of fretting phenomena during launch. The main challenge is to simulate conditions expected during the launch of a satellite. One part (one material) is subjected to very high acceleration and frequency while a second moves "freely" on it. Furthermore, the project will cover a review of requirements for testing, design, set-up and verification.

FRPBonding - Bonding Technologies for Fibre Reinforced Plastic

The goal of this project was to identify the best adhesive to avoid disbonding between metal and fibre reinforced plastic.

FSA - Future Small Aircraft

The aim of this funded project is to launch a modern and highly efficient "Future Small Aircraft" in the general aviation category, which will reduce operating costs to a minimum and thus meet the growing demand. The end result of this project is a certifiable prototype, which will be developed in a timeframe of around 32 months.

FUSEMET - Multi-Sensor Fusion for Aviation Meteorology Services

The project aim - "big picture of airport weather” - is based on the integration of all sensor data available at an airport with the results of image processing modules in the collateral projects DIBMETSAT and DIBMETSAT-3D. With the help of defined use-cases, both the development and implementation of multi-sensor fusion concepts and the analysis of available data time series are implemented. Both cases achieve added value through the combination and integration of multiple types of information compared to single site measurements.

FUSEMET-APP - AApplication of Multi-Sensor Fusion for Automatic Observation of Aviation Meteorology

FUSEMET APP will focus on optimising present automated weather observation modules, developing new observation technologies, as well as their adaptation to ATM specifications and procedures. The automated aviation weather observation provides significant support to observers in challenging weather conditions and, furthermore, serves as an autonomous weather observation system for low air traffic during the 7x24 operation.

FarmSupport - Assessing the Potential of Farmer Mobile Information Services for Agricultural Decision Support

FarmSupport aims at developing a proof-of-concept application that will provide farmers in Ethiopia and Kenya with weather forecasts and soil moisture information. This information service is intended to help farmers in making agricultural decisions. Weather information is of value to farmers, but has suffered in the past due to problems with getting the information to the farmer.

FiTNeS - Facade integrated modular Split-heat pump for new buildings and refurbishment

The goal of FitNeS was the development of modular split heat pumps with compact and silent façade-integrated outdoor units for heating and domestic hot water preparation (and optionally cooling in combination with PV). The outstanding features of the concept are a modular design with a high degree of prefabrication and representing a visually and architectonically attractive, economic and sustainable solution for both new constructions and renovations. One of the main development goals is the minimization of sound emissions by means of optimized flow control.

FoodNetLab - Exploratory Pilot: Food Value Network Innovation Lab

The results of the project provide industry representatives with a picture of current opinions on various aspects of the emerging digital transformation in the food sector, thus also supporting them in developing their specific business strategies. The findings also provided a basis for establishing an innovation lab at the Wels Campus of FH Upper Austria, which opened in 2021.
