Gründerzeit with future - subproject 3: Historical window and façade components
Currently there are no energetical and aesthetical windows in high quality. Two types of windows were developed that have high standards regarding design and energetical and constructional performance.
Gründerzeit with future - subproject 5: Documentation and monitoring
The main aim is the documentation and monitoring of the demonstration projects within the scope of the project "Historical buildings of tomorrow" with regard to the technical implementation, investment and operation costs and to the energetic performance. All demonstration projects will be accompanied by an evaluation process regarding occupants' satisfaction and the refurbishment process. Beyond that, legal constraints for innovative refurbishment of historical buildings will be documented and proposals for adaptations of the rental law and refurbishment subsidy schemes will be developed.
Gründerzeit with future - subproject 6: dissemination
Dissemination aimed at defining the relevant target groups and broadly distributing the innovative solutions of the flagship project GdZ to the defined target groups. It is of crucial importance to effect a wide awareness level and to make a deep impact on the relevant target groups.
Guideline for logistic systems and resource management for renewable resources in Burgenland
The project on hand is applied in the Austrian federal state Burgenland. It investigates possibilities to cover the future biomass demand of the county with resources from the county.
HA-GAL
The High Accuracy GALileo Commercial Service: Opportunities and risks for GNSS reference station network operators
HALOSPACE - Response of Halococcus dombrowskii Cells to the Space Environment and Preparation for Exposure Experiments on the International Space Station
HARMONY - Human-Assisted Real-time MONitoring of infrastructure and obstacles from railwaY vehicles
The project HARMONY is developing a more efficient and economical method for monitoring rail infrastructure.
HEAT - Heating Paint Based De-icing System for Drive Components and Aircraft Wings
The aim of the HEAT project was to develop a special heating paint as the basis for a lightweight, simple and flexible de-icing system for aircraft. This de-icing system, which is intended for both anti-icing and de-icing procedures, is intended to increase the safety of the aircraft through high damage tolerance and, at the same time, to be particularly energy-saving due to the lower system weight and efficient energy conversion.
HELIOSPHERE
Feasibility of pressurant gas storage in glass microspheres for pressurisation of satellite propellant tanks
HEMEP - Hybrid Electric Multi Engine Plane
The consortium partners in the HEMEP project aim to play a pioneering role in the field of aviation in electric propulsion systems, and thus enable the participating companies to become technology leaders for the future. The multi-engine aircraft with a hybrid electric propulsion system project will serve to further develop the basics of calculation methods in different areas for electric flying.
HERMES - Digital drivers book integration into organization specific processes
The project aimed at designing, developing and testing a digital driver’s book including dedicated analysis software. Special attention was paid to ease integration into organisation specificprocesses. Easy data collection, analysis, and transferability were among the main project goals.
HEROES - Houses for Energy- and ResOurce Efficient Settlements
A simplified method will be developed for the calculation of environmental indicators for so far not considered building elements (eg. constructions, which are not thermally relevant and HVAC-components). The theoretical principles for the calculation of the primary energy demand and the CO2-Emissions for operating and raising a building will be harmonized.
HERSCHEL/PACS - The Austrian Participation in the ESA-Cornerstone Mission HERSCHEL: On-board Data Reduction and Compression
The Herschel Space Observatory (formerly know as FIRST, theFar Infra-Red Space Telescope), a cornerstone of ESA's Space Horizon 2000 programme, will for the first time facilitate the investigation of the far infrared and submillimetre radio regime of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is not accessible from the ground. In this wavelength range the primary research goals will be in the fields of stellar evolution, development of planetary systems, interstellar matter and the origin of galaxies.
HIPERBEAR 2.0 - A thin strand
A new manufacturing method based on belt-casting technology aims to meet the demand for more sophisticated slide bearings made from aluminum composites.
HIPERCUT - Protective layers undergo endurance testing
New coatings for metal cutting tools will extend their service life. Research has its eye on the entire process, right back to recovering the coating material.
HOLMES - GNSS based forest logistic management
Covering forest logistics enhanced by satellite-based navigation, the project aimed at developing a closed logistic system for wood industry based on satellite navigation technologies; optimisation of the dispositional and administrative tasks was the objective.
HOTSPOTS - Holistic thermographic screening of urban physical objects at transient scales
HOTSPOTS enables new insights and perspectives for city development. According to the project idea innovations in acquisition and sensing as well as densification of geo-referenced city related data are supplemented by novel processing chains in city data analytics. Driven by an integrated scientific approach we develop a novel method in the selection, evaluation and prioritization of infrastructural city development measures which is directly derived from sensed data hence reducing the risk of ad-hoc decisions or lack in impact.
HP3-PP - Development of the HP3 Permittivity Probe Onboard the ESA ExoMars Mission
The HP3 (Heat flow and Physical Properties Probe) instrument was developed to investigate the thermal, mechanical and electrical properties of soil. The permittivity probe (PP) within the HP3 instrument shall determine the electrical permittivity and conductivity of the soil adjacent to the sensor.
HPZ-Walls - High-performance exterior brick walls without additional thermal insulation
Sustainable multi-storey housing made of bricks can only be realised if the strength of thermally optimised vertical coring bricks is tripled. This is to be achieved by changing the hole pattern, namely by reducing the air gap from 8 to 4 mm. A success of the project will form the basis for the realisation of insulation-free, 8-storey residential and office buildings in brick construction.
