For the validation of coupled room and building component simulations, an analytical solution of this unsteady problem was developed. Finally, a simplified method for determining the humidification and dehumidification demands considering a room's effective moisture capacity was developed.

The project Symbiose-4-I&C analysed the coupling of existing energy networks/-carriers, established on centralized energy network nodes or directly next to a consumer (households, industry and commerce) and the benefits of applying decentralized storage technologies. In the course of Syn[En]ergy an inter- and transdisciplinary approach potential synergies and conflicts with other use demands were investigated, a typology and practical solutions for selected areas with regard to requirements from economy, urban planning and design, legal as well social aspects developed, and then evaluated by stakeholders from enterprises, administration and the general public.
