EASIER - Enabling and Assessing Trust when Cooperating with Robots in Disaster Response
In the context of the Security Research Program (Kiras) the project EASIER aims at increasing trust of first responders in assistance robots. Emerging from deployment scenarios where mobile manipulation is needed (e.g. discharge of hazard substances) new methods in relation to transparency of the decisions of the robot, visualization of feedback and data, and control strategies will develop that will increase the trust of users. These developments will be evaluated by psychologists in field test using non-invasive methods (minimal disturbance of the process).
